Abstract
Abstract The Panormide limestone and dolomite series of the Madonies massif near Cozzo Cavolino (Sicily) consists of upper Jurassic gray to white, crystalline dolomites transgressively overlain by a thin scaglia of marls and schistose marly limestone. The transgressive bed is covered by a discontinuous conglomerate of limestone, gravel and dolomitic pseudo-oolitics. An Oligocene to Miocene flysch covers the conglomerate beds.
