Abstract

SummaryThe development of solutions for depositing non-chromate conversion coatings on aluminium is described. The solutions are based either on trivalent chromium salts or aluminium salts. The corrosion resistance of these conversion coatings and their ability to secure the adhesion of subsequently applied organic coatings is described.
