Military Leadership Attributes for Royal Thai Armed Force

The aim of this article is to share and analyze about military leadership attributes for Royal Thai  Armed Force to other civilian academics in order to recognize the attributes which were previously limited to only the military. The attributes cannot be separated from the military. Military leadership attributes are possibly not much different from the other leadership traits. In the points of military view, leadership is a military identity attached specifically to military culture and motivating military officers to lead with honor. There are 15 military traits for Thai military; 1) Justice, 2) Judgment, 3) Decisiveness, 4) Initiative, 5) Dependability, 6) Tact, 7) Integrity, 8) Enthusiasm, 9) Bearing, 10) Unselfishness, 11) Courage, 12) Knowledge, 13) Loyalty, 14) Endurance, and 15) Vision. This article underlines that the military leadership attributes were adapted from FM 22-100 Field  Manual Department of US Army which was initially used in the combat of World War II. Although the war and the combat have decreased and changed patterns themselves, nevertheless the leadership attributes still remain significant with the purposes of Royal Thai Armed Force development and administration.
