The analysis is structured by examining ASEAN main regional integrative projects, namely ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) and ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The author concludes by discussing the analytical virtues of studying Southeast Asian regionalism from an international political economy (IPE) perspective.
