The paper is an analysis of the role of KDPW_CCP as a the central counterparty in clearing of OTC transactions in Poland. Central clearing for certain classes of OTC instruments, application of risk mitigation techniques for non-centrally cleared OTC derivatives and reporting to trade repositories are the main obligations imposed by the EMIR Regulation.
