A COMPUTER SYSTEM TO AUTOMATICALLY PRODUCE LAYOUT PATTERNS OF SECTIONS FOR A REGIONAL POST OFFICE : Development of Grid-System using computer

Abstract

A computer system to produce layout patterns of sections for a Regional Post Office has been developed (Grid-System,). A hundred of the Regional Post Office in Tohoku district has been surveyed in order to compose conditions with which the Grid-System automatically produces layout patterns. An algorithm based on stepwise moving grid has been shown. Some simulated results by using a computer program implemented the Grid-System has been d emo nstrated.
