Abstract
The paper presents the use of HEC-2 and HEC-6 to determine levee heights and revetment toe scour depths. These adjustments are due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District (LACOE) undertaking of the design and construction of channel improvements in the San Luis Rey River through the City of Oceanside, California. Improvements are generally the construction of levees with grouted riprap for protection. These improvements are made for the safety of the city against floods.
