Abstract

This book is intended for the use of students of Agriculture in the U. K. The crops which have received attention in this volume are wheat, barley, oats, rye, maize, beans, peas and forage legumes. Under each crop, information is made available on botany and classification, grain use, soil and climatic requirements, rotation, cultivation practices including chemical weed control, harvest, storage and disposal, cost of cultivation and production economics. Thus the treatment is comprehensive and the information provided will be of interest to non-specialists also.
