Abstract

The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Vice President of Preservation Resources Susan West Montgomery lays out policy recommendations for improving the national historic preservation program over the next 50 years. The recommendations concern Section 106, funding, historic tax credits, the National Register of Historic Places, public-private partnerships and historic leasing, Certified Local Governments, qualification standards, and full implementation of the National Historic Preservation Act.
