Abstract

Abstract This chapter discusses the nature of the conflict between freedom of religion and freedom of speech, which have implications for religious tourism. The chapter focuses on the apparent conflict associated with published content that gives offence to religious sentiments, defames a religion and is potentially blasphemous to the religion. Some incidents of religious terrorism in Europe that originated from this conflict are highlighted.
