Abstract
With the rapid growth and construction of information, the traditional voice-based static network has been gradually changed to dynamic network. By analyzing the current equipment situation and transmission services of metropolitan area network, some short comings which exist in the current transmission network come to conclusion. On the basis of the state-of-art transmission equipment, an efficient and intelligent network planning method via OTN/ASON/PTN is proposed. Combined with the actual business situation, the advantages of intelligent optical network have been verified after the contrast between traditional and the intelligent optical network.
