Cestovna vozila u intermodalnom prijevozu

Intermodal transport is the mode of transporting goods that simultaneously combines two different transport vehicles from differing modes of transport in such a way that the goods do not endure any manipulation during reloading, but the complete transport unit is loaded onto another transport vehicle and serves as a load on the second vehicle. In this sense, intermodal transport may combine road-railroad or road-maritime transport. In this paper, covering the topic of road vehicles in intermodal transport, I have defined the notion of intermodal transport, as well as the kinds of road vehicles and technologies that are used in this type of transport. I have analyzed intermodal transport, and particular attention has been given to road-railroad and road-maritime transport of goods and the technologies used in these practices, with an emphasis on contemporary transport technologies which form the basis for further development of intermodal transport.
