Abstract
The forest tent caterpillar, Malacosoma disstria Hiibner, is a defoliator or trees and shrubs in forested areas. An outbreak occurred in the Fort Totten, North Dakota area during the period 1969-1970. Several natural control agents in caterpillar populations were found and identified. These included pathogens, parasites, and vertebrate and invertebrate predators.
