Abstract
To investigate the influence of the projectile‐core electrons on electron capture processes in collisions of highly charged ions on Li we compare experimental data partially stripped ions with both experimental and theoretical results for fully stripped ions. From such comparisons we find distinct differences between the results for Be‐like Ne6+ and bare C6+ whereas there is no clear influence of the core electrons for Hand He‐li
