Abstract
The dynamic model of an engaging spur gear pair for a tooth-sum of 100 teeth, when altered by ±4% of the tooth-sum is used to investigate the bending stiffness. The parameters of the dynamic model include position dependent mesh stiffness between an engaged spur gear pair. A program is developed in ‘C’ language to investigate the effect of mesh stiffness versus profile modification for the above tooth-sum.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
