The aim of this diploma thesis was to work out the topic of union contracts and collective bargaining. In the first part chapter of the work the definition of union contracts is provided. The second parts deals with collective bargaining and the need of social dialogue as well as with the subject of solving collective disputes. The third part elaborates on the question of collective labour relations. The last section of the thesis works on the position of the employer and the trade union. It also deals with the need to institute a trade union and the advantages and disadvantages of it is founding
