Artist's book – Journey

Artist's book is very interesting independent work of art, that has developed with other contemporary art practices in the sixties in the twentieth century. I discovered this form of art in the fourth year of my studies so I decided that this will be my material for research as a mean of expression in this thesis. I explored its shapes, development through history, its impact on the entire art. I presented the art group OHO, which was essential for artist's book development in Slovenia. \nDuring my personal exploration of the artistic work, I also encountered with a concept of documentation, which provides information and records actions and events. It is the main method of artistic expression in my work Path. One of the artists who documented his works is Richard Long, a pioneer of land art, which I have included in my thesis. \nArtist's Book combines the genres of art in the entity and presents artistic freedom and a way of expressing one's individuality and subjectivity, which I also included in my academic lecture on The secondary school of nursing in Ljubljana with the theme of artists' book. This is one of many solutions of artistic expression that is new to students and for this very motivational. \n
