Abstract

Cloud type according to WMO Code 0500.Cloud amount in eights according to WMO Code 2700.Sea level visibi I ity according to WMO Code 4300.Accepted depth in meters from which the sample was obtained, determined from wire length, wire angle and thermometric depth calculation.~ situ water temperature in degrees centigrade. Salinity in grams/ki logram (%0 or ppt).Potential density anomaly, computed from the equa tions in Knudsen's Hydrographical Tables (1901). Dissolved oxygen concentration in mICSTP)/1 iter.Apparent oxygen uti lization in ~g-atoms O 2 -0/1 iter: the difference between the observed oxygen concen tration and the oxygen sol ubi I ity computed from the ill situ temperature and salinity using the equations of Truesdale, et.2l.(1955).Per cent of oxygen saturation computed from the in situ temperature and sal inity using the equationS of Truesda Ie, et.2l.(1955).
