Abstract
The objectives of this part of the exercise are the following: 1. To demonstrate the methods used to make and disinfect the nodal explants of a deciduous tree species; and 2. To provide experience in establishing nodal explants, subculturing and multiplying microshoots, rooting microshoots in vitro, and acclimatizing the resulting plantlets to the ambient environment.
