Abstract

The average momenta , emission angles , and multiplicities of pions and protons have been investigated as functions of the maximum cumulative number in ..pi../sup -/C interactions at 5 GeV/c. The experimental data are analyzed in combination with calculations according to the cascade-evaporative model. It is shown that the investigated dependences are weakly sensitive to the hadron production mechanisms.
