Abstract
The Sharon Escarpment is a coastal backshore escarpment made of heterogeneous layered sandstone. This area is an increasingly exploited environmental resource. This paper defines the main natural parameters that are presently affected by human activity. It presents an assessment of the environmental risks, and recommends rules for cliff management.
