Abstract
The overall purpose of this article is to contribute to the assessment of the contribution public corporations can make to national development in developing countries. This is done by concentrating on the ways in which two public corporations, Uganda Development Corporation and The Uganda Electricity Board, have contributed to Ugandan development.
