Open full text 7 citations

Abstract

The dinoflagellate genus Archaeosphaerodiniopsis Rampi has been observed for the first time since its original description in 1943. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations permitted a more detailed description than that given by Rampi and as a consequence the genus has been emended. Images and drawings are included herein in an attempt to reposition this intriguing dinoflagellate within the current literature. Plate tabulation formula: Po Pt X 4' 6'' 6? C 4S 5''' 1''''.
