Abstract

A total of 50 algal taxa were reported from the waterfalls, streams and a mountain lake of Sikkim. These include 19 Cyanophyta (Cyanobacteria), 17 Chlorophyta and 14 Bacillariophyta species. Among these 15 species were reported for the first time from India.
