Abstract
Objective To prepare venlafaxine hydrochloride thermoreversible in situ gel .Methods Thermosensitive polymer was prepared by using poloxamer in different concentration .Mucosa adhere was prepared using carbopol ,PVP ,and HPMC .The gela‐tion temperature and the adhesion force of gel were tested to optimize the prescription base .Results 180 g?L -1 poloxamer and 3 .0 g?L -1 PVP were found to be satisfactory compositions of the gel base .Its gelation temperature was 31 .7 ℃ ,and the adhe‐sion force was 98 .1 g?cm -2 .Conclusion The selected base can be used for the preparation of thermoreversible in situ gel of ven‐lafaxine hydrochloride .
