Abstract

Evidence-Based Answer Vitamin D alone does not reduce the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women with or without osteoporosis (SOR: A, meta-analysis). Treatment with vitamin D is recommended if vitamin D deficiency is detected in postmenopausal osteoporotic women (SOR: C, consensus statements).
