Abstract
Trigeminal neuralgia คอภาวะปวดเสนประสาทใบหนาของเสนประสาทคท 5 โดยไมทราบสาเหตชดเจน หรอมการกดรงหรอระคายเคองของเสนประสาท เปนมากในวยกลางคนถงสงอาย พบมากในเพศหญงมากกวาเพศชาย วธการรกษาในปจจบนคอ คอการรบประทานยา และการผาตดศลยกรรมประสาท (ซงจะมผลขางเคยง หรอภาวะแทรกซอนได) พบวายงไมมการรกษาใดไดผลดทสดการศกษานนำเสนอผปวยจำนวน 3 รายทมารบคำปรกษาทแผนกทนตกรรม โรงพยาบาลบางปะกงซงทกรายไดรบการวนจฉยวาเปน trigeminal neuralgia ไดรบการรกษาแบบผสมผสานคอ การรบประทานยาแผนปจจบนและแพทยทางเลอกแผนตะวนออกฝงเขม (acupuncture) โดยไดรบยากลมยากนชก (antiepilepsy) ลดการซมเศรา (antidepressant) และยาแกปวด (NSAID) ผปวยทงสามมอาการดขนภายหลงไดรบการรกษาดวยการฝงเขมคออาการปวดนอยลง คำสำคญ : ภาวะปวดประสาทใบหนาของเสนประสาทคท 5 การฝงเขม Treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia Combined Medicine and Acupuncture. Trigeminal neuralgia is a common neuropathic facial pain condition of trigeminal nerve.Most cases are still refered as idiopathic, although many are associated with vascular compression or irritation of the trigeminal nerve. It usually affects middle to old aged people and occurs to woman rather than men. Today treatment options are either to medicine or neurosurgery which has more side effects and complication. No specific treatment leads to the best result. The present study are 3 cases report of patients with trigeminal neuralgia who was diagnosised at dental department of Bangpakong hospital and had been treated with effective alternative way either western medicine (antiepilepsy, antidepressant and NSAID) or eastern remedy which is acupuncture. The results show that three patient condition, are improved after treated by acupuncture, its therapeutic objectives are to reduce severe pain to painless condition and reduce the medication use.
