Abstract
A perfectly matched layer (PML) absorber for the alternating-direction implicit (ADI) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is discussed. The PML is computed by using exponential difference method. Numerical result shows the method with characteristic of electromagnetic wave decayed very soon. Some new equations have been derived. Numerical experiments verify the algorithm not only keeping stability but also getting absorb effect.
