Abstract

The genus Clematis (Ranunculaceae) of Taiwan is unrevised. The most variable group of the genus, Sect. Clematis Subsect. Clematis, needs revision in particular. The present paper aims to describe a new species of the subsection, C. sasakii and to elucidate its characteristics through a taxonomic key to all the species of the Taiwan Clematis.
