Abstract

In this interview, Ann Kroeber discusses her role as a sound effects recordist, production sound mixer and sound designer. In particular, Kroeber discusses recording animal voices and sounds, issues of sound design and music at the mix stage, and some problems of working as a woman in a male-dominated field. Kroeber stresses the positive environment opened up in game sound and how open pedagogical approaches can lead to exciting experiences of collaboration. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
