Abstract
In this paper, the synthesis of iso-octyl salicylate was catalyzed by the solid super acid TiO2/SO4 2-taking the place of conc.H2SO4.According to experimental results, the optimum condition of esterfication were:salicylic acid/iso-octyl alcohol = 1/3(molar ratio),catalyst 9%(based on the weight of salicylic acid),reacting time 3.5h and the conversion rate of salicylic acid 98.2%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
