Abstract
NLRP3 inflammasome is a cytosolic multi-protein complex which consist of Nod-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain(ASC) and Pro-caspase-1. It is responsible for the maturation and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-18 as well as pyroptosis.The activation of NLRP3 inflammasome plays an important role in a variety of auto-inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.Thus, further investigation on the mechanisms underlying the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome may provide new ideas on the treatment of NLRP3 inflammasome related diseases.
