A common focus of policy approaches to drive uptake of energy effi ciency is reliance on a combination of price signals and information. Th ese types of approaches rest on the underlying assumption that, if exposed to appropriate price signals and provided with access to relevant information, end users will make rational decisions regarding energy use.
