Abstract
The problem of correlation of chronic gastritis associated with Helicobacter pylori infection and symptoms of dyspepsia remains relevant and controversial. Recently the importance of bismuth medications in the treatment of diseases associated with Helicobacter pylori has increased. The objective is to identify valid parameters that represent the clinical efficacy of bismuth tripotassium dicitrate intake after completed triple eradication therapy in patients with chronic Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis and dyspepsia syndrome, as well as to identify patients with verified Helicobacter pylori-associated dyspepsia. Materials and research methods: 109 patients with Helicobacter pylori-associated chronic gastritis and dyspepsia syndrome have participated in research. Results and conclusions: in patients with Helicobacter pylori-associated chronic gastritis and dyspepsia symptoms bismuth tripotassium dicitrate intake after completion of triple eradication therapy leads to reduce of severity of painful symptoms and increase of satisfaction of patients with conducted treatment; lack of symptoms of dyspepsia after 6 months of successful Helicobacter pylori eradication in the studied group and the comparison group revealed respectively 39.3 % and 20.6 % of patients with verified Helicobacter pylori-associated dyspepsia.
