Abstract
USB has many features like plug and play, hot plugging, portability, etc. which are attractive in designing portable high speed data acquisition systems/PC peripheral devices. The paper describes the design of USB (FT2232H) based data acquisition (DAQ) system. ‘LabVIEW’ graphical programming environment used for real time data acquisition, processing and display. The details on design aspects of dynamic DAQ system and test results are also summarized. The device used is low cost, portable, miniaturized, and reliable even at high speeds.
