Abstract

As an equipment protecting and isolating electromagnetic interference, the shielding enclosure always needs aperture on the wall which destroys the completeness of the enclosure. In this article, the transmission line method (TL method) is applied in the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) of a metallic enclosure with aperture array. We analysed the situation of incident arbitrary polarized electromagnetic wave, the number and arrangement of aperture array, and give the equivalent calculation expression when the number of side holes, length of aperture arrays ranging. At last, we give the recommendations of the relationship between the hole size and the distance between apertures by simulation. Good agreement are obtained between simulated results and calculated results.
