Abstract

A new detailed model of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plants (NPP) has been developed and combined with the power system midterm dynamic simulation program (MDSP). The authors show how this model can be used to study the transient and midterm dynamic processes of power systems with PWR NPP under large disturbances. The simulation results are found to be satisfactory.>
