Abstract
In this paper, Y-factor method of measuring antenna noise temperature is described simply using spectrum analyzer. Effect of spectrum analyzer noise floor on noise power measurement is analyzed. Calculation formula and numerical value curve of correction factor are given. Calculation of correction Y-factor is described. At fast, measuring results of C-band 13-metre vehicle antenna noise temperature are given. Test result show that effect of spectrum analyzer noise floor on antenna noise measurement is not neglected when ratio of spectrum analyzer measuring noise power to noise floor power is less than 20dB.
