Abstract
Many CAD/CAM softwares are developed by foreign and domestic companies. They are widely used in manufacturing enterprises which leads CAD/CAM technology continues to mature. CAD/CAM software is not only widely used in the 2D/3D part design but also widely used in NC programming now. Based on the CAD/CAM software of Cimatron E8.0, critical techniques that affect design precision are introduced firstly. Then, tool choice and critical process parameters are analyzed in order to improve machining precision and surface roughness. At last, case practice is executed. Rough and finish machining programs are programmed with optimized parameters. The tool trajectory is generated by the software of Cimatron E8.0 itself. The machining process is simulated and the simulation result is obtained. The critical techniques introduced in this paper have already been used in practice verifying their rightness and effectiveness. (5 pages)
