Abstract

The design relation model was put forward based on the theories of concurrent design and cooperation design. The model has the attribute of concurrence, cooperation and the whole life cycle, etc. It allows designer to trigger and participate in the design process. From concept design to detailed design, designer can availably modify the design at a certain layer. The process of the product development and modeling was extensively analyzed in virtue of the principle of product innovation design. The concept of creative design PDM of mechanical products was presented in order to realize design reuse for concurrent engineering and cooperation environment. The product design process and product structure physics models are put forward aiming at this platform. Based on suitable case of design, the characteristic technique, and mapping model of product structure with PDM, mathematical model was established. The design process relation is clarified, which makes the PDM system becomes into a system to realize concept design reuse.
