Abstract

This paper is based on the finger print of 140 peoples. This includes baigas 76 were examined for the measurement of Patern intensity index, Faruhata's index, Dankmeijer's index, Finger Ridge counting. The prints were obtained using the duplicating ink method and these were taken on white paper. The finding that the whorls and loop is higher than compared to arches both sexes, simple whorl is higher than all types of whorl in both sex. Radial loops are higher as compared to ulnar loops in Baigas male and female. In case of Dankmeijer's index indicate dissimilarity in arch-whorl ratio between male & females. The value of Dankmeijer's index is higher in females in comparison to males. The value of Faruhata index is shightly higher in females in comparison to males. When ridge counts are taken into considerations we find that in both sexes, females have higher mean ridge count value in comparison to males.
