Abstract
Aiming at the requirements of renovation for many old import machine tools in internal industry, the schemes suited to the renovation are presented in this paper. It is demonstrated that new automation system with modern automation technology can reduce money invested for the renovation and energy consumption for machine operation. Three typical examples of renovation are given, in which new automation system with modern digital technology is used in modification works for table planning machine, D2300 lathe made in Germany and 745A slotter made in Russia. Some problems are discussed, such as speed regulation of main drive, position finding of cutter frame, synchro-control between lathe tools feeding and lathe chuck turning. The results of application are also described.
