Abstract
This paper shows how an analysis of a discourse was done using Interactional Sociolinguistics (IS) approach. The data were collected through observations made on an admission interview for the programme of Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan Branch. The discourse that took place during the interview was transcribed before analysis on communication strategies employed by the participants was done.
