Recommendations: Working with Girls of Color Around Issues of Sexuality, Sexualization, and Sex Education

We finish the book with recommendation about how those in agencies that provide counseling or education, teachers, sex educators, and communities might respond to girls of color and their need for sex education and positive messaging about sexuality. Our recommendations address media sexualization and objectification; how sex education classes can be sensitive to the needs of girls of color; and how sex educators, parents, and others can support the complex sexual development that occurs in adolescence
