Abstract
In This paper, computational aspects of a digital transformer differential relay is described. DPFC percent differential protection reflects deviation of load condition which can perform a sensitive protection for the transformer. The ability of Inrush Current Detection with Waveform Distortion Discrimination Principle is discussed and demonstrated. Test results of the proposed algorithm highlight the abilities of the algorithm. Test results for external fault, internal fault and inrush current are presented in the paper.
