Abstract
National income is one of the general, synthetic indices characterizing the level and rate of development of the Soviet national economy and the standard of living of the working people. The experience gained from the development of the economy of the USSR and the other socialist countries permits us to draw certain conclusions with respect to the laws governing the production, distribution, and utilization of national income in socialist society.
