Abstract
Carbon-Carbon composites were produced by a rapid densification process. Composites of 1.4/1.8 densities were obtained in only a few hours. The influence of elaboration temperature on densification rates was studied. Optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Transmission Electron Microscopy were used to characterize the synthesized materials and showed the graphitizability of the carbon matrices.
