Eyelid disorders. I

Eyelid disorders are relatively common and frequently overlooked. This article, which is in two parts, presents a range of eyelid problems and outlines their diagnosis and treatment. Conditions such as entropion and ectropion (part I) are common and result in chronic ocular discomfort but are relatively easily treated. Eyelid skin cancer (part II) is easily missed and when presenting late can require extensive eyelid resection and reconstructive surgery. ( author abstract)
