Abstract
In 2001, a study was conducted by the Florida Department of Transportation, District 5, to investigate the incidence of median cross over crashes on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, Florida. The study revealed that a disproportionate number of crashes were occurring in the vicinity of horizontal curves and interchanges. Guardrail and ramp modifications were recommended and have been installed in these areas. The purpose of this study is to investigate the crashes that have occurred since the improvements were made and to analyze the actual benefit of the project.
