Abstract
In order to efficiently use faba bean germplasm in breeding program, genetic diversity and main characters were assessed in a collection of 194 new Gansu province faba bean germplasm. The result showed that new collected germplasm resources had high genetic diversity, with a quality diversity index in average of 0.8018 and a quantity diversity index in average of 1.8465.Meanwhile,the improved variety and foreign resource and local germ all had higher diversity index, average ranging from 1.8436 to 1.7585.In PCA analysis, the first eight principal components represented 80.23% of the morphological diversity, contained majority information of all index.
